Kurnia Ciptamoda Gemilang nabs two awards at Retail Asia Awards 2023

The footwear and apparel retailer offers a more convenient and efficient way of purchasing and delivering products to customers across Indonesia.

With stores across five main islands and 19 major cities in Indonesia, Kurnia Ciptamoda Gemilang (KCG) offers a wide variety of footwear products that cater to the needs of its diverse customer base. 

KCG has been experiencing remarkable growth in sales over the past five years, recording more than 50% growth in Indonesia. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, KCG has managed to maintain its growth trajectory, achieving a 100% increase in sales performance compared to 2020. 

To ensure customer satisfaction and maintain its high standards, PT KCG has implemented several initiatives to adhere to international standards. PT KCG was certified for ISO 9001:2015 in regards to the international standard for a quality management system in 2022. 

Additionally, PT KCG has obtained the ISO 27001:2013 certification regarding the international standard for information security. 

Alongside the practical skills for professional growth, KCG Retail Academy advocates for the equilibrium between the mind, body, and soul of its employees in the working environment. So, the company has also established the KCG Retail Academy to train its employees and promote their professional growth whilst maintaining a work-life balance. 

The academy provides tailored training modules to meet the company's needs and requirements and is led by certified trainers recognised by the National Professional Certification Agency of Indonesia (BNSP).

The Customer Service Initiative of the Year award recognises PT KCG's commitment to improving its customers' satisfaction through its Delivery Service programme. 

With the rise of e-commerce and online shopping, consumers expect quick and easy transactions with fast delivery times. The footwear and apparel retail industry, in particular, faces challenges around stock availability issues, such as broken sizes, lack of colour variety, and other assortments issues. 

The Delivery Service programme offers consumers the convenience of conducting online or in-store transactions. It provides the option of having products delivered from the nearest store to their desired location, ensuring faster and more affordable delivery. This programme also addresses the issues around in-store stock availability, as consumers can purchase products even if they are not available in the store they are visiting. 

PT KCG partners with the best logistics companies in Indonesia to provide a system that is integrated with the PT KCG System. Consumers will receive free delivery within the same city across Indonesia, and they can track the status of their shipments. 

Furthermore, the programme offers after-sales services, such as a product exchange policy which allows consumers to exchange anywhere or at their nearest location, within a maximum period of 30 days since the product was purchased or received.

With these, KCG has been awarded Footwear Retailer of the Year and Customer Service Initiative of the Year at the Retail Asia Awards 2023.  Now in its 18th year, the awards programme recognises retailers that can navigate their way through industry challenges such as the ever-changing customer demand and e-commerce boom, whilst delivering exceptional value to consumers and maintaining healthy revenues.
