Established in 1978, TOBY'S SPORTS has become synonymous with top-quality athletic gear and innovation in the sports industry, carving out a prestigious niche as the nation's leading sports retailer. The recognition at the Retail Asia Awards is a testament to the brand's sustained efforts to enhance the sports and fitness landscape in the Philippines.

Throughout its notable history, TOBY'S SPORTS has been at the forefront of promoting a culture of sports and fitness. The retailer has consistently provided a diverse range of premium sports products, from the best local and international brands, tailored to the preferences and needs of Filipino athletes and fitness enthusiasts.

This past year marked a significant milestone for TOBY'S SPORTS, celebrating 45 years of successful operations. The anniversary was highlighted by several key achievements, including the receipt of the Gold Bagwis Awards from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). As the demand for sports and fitness gear continues to grow, TOBY'S SPORTS has not only expanded its store count but also its product range. In the past three years alone, nine new stores were opened, including five franchises, bringing the total to 64 branches across the Philippines. The expansion included the addition of a third flagship store in SM North The Block, joining the other Toby’s flagship stores in Bonifacio Global City and SM Mall of Asia.

Moreover, TOBY'S SPORTS has been instrumental in introducing and promoting new sports to the Filipino community. In 2023, the retailer made significant strides in promoting Pickleball, the Philippines’ fastest-growing sport. TOBY'S SPORTS not only introduced Pickleball products but also organised events and clinics to boost the sport's visibility and accessibility.

On the corporate side, TOBY'S SPORTS has broadened its scope to include sports event organisation through its new division - Toby’s EVENTS. It has already organised large events for companies such as GCash, PhilamLife, and VXI. These initiatives, covering everything from fun runs, company sportsfests and sports clinics aim to foster a culture of health and activity within these corporates and institutions, further extending TOBY'S SPORTS' influence beyond traditional retail.

Innovation remains a key driver for TOBY'S SPORTS, with the retailer embracing an omnichannel strategy to provide seamless shopping experiences both online and offline. This includes successfully implementing a Click & Collect service, allowing customers to order online from www.tobys.com and pick up their purchases from select Toby’s stores near them.
