Decathlon launches in JD platform

The sporting goods retailer officially entered China in 2003.

French sporting goods retailer Decathlon has opened a flagship store on JD’s platform, offering more than 80 kinds of products covering a wide range of activities such as hiking, swimming and road cycling, according to a press release.

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Decathlon has sought to expand its sales channels by working with JD to reach more Chinese consumers. JD’s big data analysis will assist the company in targeting its potential consumers.

Decathlon has over 1,647 stores in 59 countries and regions. It officially entered China in 2003, opening its first offline store in Asia.
