AirAsia’s digital arm rolls out food delivery service in Thailand

It has launched free meals for 30 days in parts of Bangkok to celebrate its launch.

The digital arm of Malaysian airline AirAsia has rolled out a food delivery service in Thailand, offering free meals for 30 days in parts of Bangkok to celebrate its launch, the company said in a press release.

Using the platform, users can select from a variety of stores, ranging from McDonald’s, Flash Coffee or Amazon to many local providers, available from 6:30 AM to 7 PM daily.

The delivery service AirAsia Food came with the launch of AirAsia’s Super App in the country, a travel and lifestyle mobile app that offers a place to book flights, hotels, travel packages and activities. The platform also offers shopping for branded products and more.

To celebrate its launch, the company has started a campaign to roll out 30,000 free meals in Din Daeng, Chatuchak, Lat Phrao, and Huai Khwang. This was in partnership with various brands including McDonald’s, Flash Coffee and Cafe Amazon.

The store also offers free delivery on all orders within a 6-km radius as well as $2.40 (THB80) discount for new users on orders of $3 (THB100) or more from 17 August to 30 September.

The company has expressed plans to expand its service delivery for the platform across more areas of Bangkok in the coming weeks, particularly Phya Thai, Ratchathewi, Pathumwan and Watthana.

It also aims to expand into other regions such as Phuket and Chiang Mai in the near future.
