India-based online store for sustainable products launched

The company makes use of checks to confirm the truthfulness of its sustainability claims.

India-based OneGreen was launched as an online store for pure, safe, natural, green, and sustainable products in Asia, aiming to help conscious consumers find their needs, the company unveiled in a press release.

The company makes use of an in-house proprietary algo-based tool that seeks to assure consumers about the brands and their claims. This comes from conducting intensive audits on the brands signing up, followed by a rigorous process of Certification checks and various other manual checks by experts.

“The conscious consumer will find making mindful choices a lot convenient and assured now as this is the first time a horizontal marketplace is offering platform-level checks and assurance,” the company said.

For the founders, Abhijit Bhattacharya and Neha Gahlaut, the business idea came about after observing that they struggled to find authentically organic, pure, green, and sustainable products easily. “There were no specific quality checks at the store-end to ensure if products are as authentic or organic as they claim to assure the conscious consumer."
