Landmark Group improves Kuwait fulfilment centre through automation, robotics

Addverb will provide upgrades for a quicker automated system inside the fulfilment centres.

UAE-based omnichannel retailer Landmark Group signed a strategic partnership with automation and robotics company Addverb for the upgrading of its fulfilment centre in Kuwait.

Through the partnership, the fulfilment centre will use an automated function, comprising of a fleet of robotic sorters, and a system of over 1,000 sorts per hour. Carton shuttles will also be adopted with a capacity over 100 crates per hour.

Following the upgrades, the order fulfilment process starts with the thorough categorisation of items into the “bulky” and “non-bulky” categories.

Afterwards, an automated conveyor will sort non-bulky items in the robotic sorters and move them to the pack station. Mechanisms are then detected to integrate all items at pack stations.
