Retail sector amongst leading GenAI talent recruiters
Amazon.com has a job posting for Machine Learning Architect.
Businesses in the retail sector are amongst the top hirers of talents that are skilled in generative artificial intelligence (GenAI), along with the technology, financial services, and pharmaceutical industries.
In a report, GlobalData said various companies are looking for talents with expertise in AI and machine learning (ML), amongst others.
“Since ChatGPT launched in November 2022, there has been a rapid acceleration in hiring trends in GenAI across industries, showing businesses have been very quick to build capabilities in a very new area of innovation in AI. It is worth monitoring how this develops in the future,” said Sherla Sriprada, Business Fundamentals Analyst at GlobalData.

For example, in the retail sector, the job posting of Amazon.com Inc. include “Machine Learning Architect, AWS Generative AI Innovation Centre” which is a role to develop GenAI algorithms that will interact with customers directly to understand the business problem and assist them in implementing GenAI solutions through brief and deep dive sessions.
Google’s holding firm, Alphabet Inc., also has a role for Director, AI/ML Partner Engineering, Google Cloud will be responsible for driving the adoption of Google GenAI solution portfolio adoption from the partner ecosystem.
