Singapore virtual fashion festival to be held on August
The show will present 25 homegrown labels.
Singapore’s virtual fashion festival Front Row will be held from 20-29 August, according to an announcement.
Front Row is an inaugural 10-day festival organised by Daniel Boey Creatives and AP Media and is supported by Enterprise Singapore. It is a free-to-view season-less virtual event, allowing visitors to access various regional fashion labels from their own connected devices.
The show will present 25 homegrown labels, including Elohim by Sabrina Goh, Ginlee Studio, Graye and Holtan Vibes. The brands will be showcasing their collections through virtual fashion shows, motion editorials, fashion filmlets, and animation with the use of digital elements such as green screen technology.
One of the key focuses of the event is the need for eco-conscious sensibility and accountability in the fashion industry.
Front Row’s creative director Daniel Boey said the event seeks to establish a new ecosystem that links fashion and e-commerce. He hopes that the show can help further enhance the digital presence of local fashion, especially those making inroads to the industry.
The show will also feature an online platform called Virtual Fashion Village, an online marketplace that stimulates real-life shopping experience. It will also have direct links to shopping sites with featured products and fashion labels.
