The majority of business leaders have difficulty reaching potential new customers

Certain strategies for reaching customers are no longer effective.

Nearly all (96%) of Singapore business leaders admitted that reaching potential and existing customers is getting more difficult in 2023 than it was a year ago, a HubSpot survey showed.

Almost half (43%) said the growth is slowing and current strategies are being less effective. Of the 43%, more than eight in ten (83%) said this has remained consistent or has become more of a challenge over the past 12 months.

Kat Warboys, HubSpot APAC director, said if brands will not address this issue, they will waste time and money for campaigns “falling on deaf ears.”

Another hurdle being faced by business leaders is data and systems, with 28% of them saying that there are poor quality of data, inaccessible data, and not enough data.

HubSpot asked 1,300 Singaporean consumers and business leaders online in May to find out the challenges and changes they have faced over the past few years.
