Philippines’ Emperador expands distillery in Scotland
The dual-listed firm grew its Invergordon Distillery to 92 hectares from 45.4 hectares.
SGX and Philippines-listed global brand and whisky conglomerate Emperador doubled the footprint of its distillery in Scotland through its subsidiary Whyte and Mackay.
In a disclosure, Emperadr said the expansion of the Invergordon Distillery to 92 hectares from 45.4 hectares will provide space for more warehouses in the coming decades, catering to up to 1.5 million casks of maturing whisky.

Aside from the growing whisky demand worldwide, the expansion is also in support of Whyte and Mackay’s goal to be the United Kingdom’s top supplier of Single Malt Whisky.
“This expansion is part of Emperador’s continuing efforts to strengthen our production in response to growing demands for single malt whisky in various markets worldwide. We want to address the scarcity of aged liquids globally, and this will allow us to strengthen and support a core segment of our business,” said Emperador President Winston Co.
