Starbucks appoints Molly Liu as sole CEO of China operations

She will now take full responsibility for overseeing the company's business in the region.

Starbucks Corp. has appointed Molly Liu as the sole leader of its China business.

Liu, who was named co-CEO of Starbucks China last year alongside Belinda Wong, will now take full responsibility for overseeing the company's business in the region, Reuters reported.

Wong, who has been at the helm of Starbucks China since 2011, will transition into the role of chair, focusing on driving innovation, guiding the country’s development strategy, and expanding the brand’s social influence.
