Huawei opens Malaysia flagship

Chinese phone maker Huawei has strengthened its foothold in Malaysia with the opening of its third flagship store in the country.

Huawei’s new store is on the third floor of Suria KLCC shopping mall. The store sells products of the world’s third largest smartphone manufacturer and provides consumers with a first-hand brand experience.

The Suria KLCC flagship follows Huawei’s other stores at Plaza Low Yat and Mid Valley Mega Mall.

Gary Xu, country director for Huawei consumer business group in Malaysia, said: “We are very excited to be one of the first Chinese high-tech companies to open a store in KLCC, a renowned landmark in Malaysia.”

Xu said Huawei plans to open 1,000 retail stores in Malaysia this year, adding to its existing 271 stores.
