Maxi-Cash steps up e-commerce efforts

Singapore’s first public-listed pawnbroker Maxi-Cash is expanding into the world of e-commerce with the launch of iPAYMENT, eSHOP and online valuation. These three new online services complement its existing business to offer an omni-channel approach to the pawn industry and their customers.

Maxi-Cash iPAYMENT is said to be the first in the pawn industry to allow customers to renew and pay interests online. The service provides customers a safe and convenient mode of payment with 24-hour access from any location by visiting ipayment.maxi-cash.com.sg.

“As the first pawnbroking chain in Singapore to pioneer online payment services, the new iPAYMENT platform, together with our online valuation service and eSHOP, will bring a seamless online experience to our customers,” said Magdalene Eng, assistant brand director of Maxi-Cash Group.

The new eSHOP curates the finest accessories vetted by an experienced team of watch, jewellery and leather specialists, and retails over 500 pieces of the latest LeGold jewellery collections as well as pre-loved elegant timepieces, luxury bags and fine jewellery from LuxeSTYLE at attractive prices.

As part of the online business strategy to encourage traffic and transactions, Maxi-Cash eSHOP will also showcase popular and evergreen luxury goods at low prices which are only available online.

Ng Leok Cheng, CEO of Maxi-Cash Group, said: “Digital technology is reshaping the pawn and pre-loved goods industry and is rapidly influencing how consumers make purchases today. Maxi-Cash eSHOP will allow us to connect with our customers online 24/7 while still offering the option to visit our physical store in person if they prefer. This omni-channel approach provides both convenience and assurance to our customers and we will be encouraging our customers to try out our online platform.”

Lastly, the new online valuation service allows consumers to submit up to five images of their items for appraisal. An automated email will be sent to the consumers within three business days with an indicative appraised value of their items and consumers do not need to bring in their valuables into the Maxi-Cash physical stores.

With a network of 43 stores, Maxi-Cash provides financial services in the form of pawnbroking and the retail and trading of pre-loved jewellery and timepieces.
