Pharmacy chain Boots opens first three Indonesia stores

The second store, its flagship, is located in Pondock Indah Mall.

American pharmacy chain Boots has opened its first three stores in Indonesia with local lifestyle retailer Mitra Adiperkasa (MAP), IGD reported.

The first set of store openings were expected to occur in H2 2020, but plans were delayed. Its first store, sized 100 sqm, is located at Senayan City Mall. The second store located in Pondock Indah Mall served as its flagship, and is almost 250 sqm wide, whilst the third store measuring almost 100 sqm, opened in Kota Kasablanka.

The stores will focus on skincare, vitamins, health, and wellbeing and showcase Boots’s private label brands, including No7, Soap & Glory and Botanics.

In Indonesia Boots is providing consumers with a more convenient way to shop by offering a Chat & Shop’ service, which allows customers to talk to a member of the Boots team on WhatsApp and order products for delivery, either on the same or next day. Alternatively, shoppers can buy online through MAP’s platform.
