Website offers a new way to buy dresses online

A new online store and dress subscription service, Avid Dresser, is introducing a new approach to shop specifically for dresses.

Customers will need to take a style quiz on www.aviddresser.com to identify the dresses and design they prefer and they will receive specially selected frocks in a personalised package each month according to the results of the quiz.

The dresses are picked by stylists at Avid Dresser and the company offers two subscription plans. The Basic Avid Dresser where customers can get one dress each month, and the Signature Avid Dresser for two dresses each month.

Speaking to Retail Asia, Avid Dresser’s co-founder and CEO Rachel Ngwe said: “Avid Dresser was designed to meet a need that we felt wasn't being met. Too often women find themselves frustrated with the dresses they see in stores due to prices or they would like additional help picking out dresses and aren't able to afford to have a stylist follow them around. We offer great dresses curated to our customers styles at affordable prices.”

The membership fees for the subscription plans are US$29.99 and US$49.99 respectively.

The service is available worldwide but customers outside of the US will bear shipping costs.

Ngwe added there are plans to offer additional items besides dresses in future.
