7-Eleven International completes $1.1b acquisition of 7-Eleven Australia

The agreement adds over 750 stores in Australia to 7-Eleven International's global portfolio.

7-Eleven International LLC has officially acquired 7-Eleven Australia convenience stores in a deal valued at $1.1b (A$1.71b). 

The agreement, initiated in November 2023, adds over 750 stores in Australia to 7-Eleven International's global portfolio.

Ken Wakabayashi, president and CEO of 7-Eleven International, said the acquisition would enhance customer experience and synergy between the two entities.

"For nearly 50 years, the 7-Eleven Australia team has built the legacy of the brand as a top choice for convenience. Together, we can enhance customer experience in the store,” he said.

The collaboration aims to transform the merchandise and fuel offerings of 7-Eleven Australia, expand product assortments, and introduce new high-quality fresh foods.

Angus McKay, CEO and managing director of 7-Eleven Australia, echoed the sentiment, saying: "It is about continuing to grow our store network in Australia and providing unrivalled customer experiences and quality products.”
