Alamanda Shopping Centre’s first major redevelopment underway

It will be completed and relaunched in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Retail asset management group Suria KLCC is redeveloping Alamanda Shopping Centre, the mall’s first major redevelopment since its opening in 2004.

In a statement, Suria said the redevelopment of the mall owned by Putrajaya Holdings will include a retail space expansion of a net lettable area of around 50,000 square feet.

It will also offer an enlarged entertainment facility featuring additional halls at the cinema and the expansion of the bowling area.

The mall will also launch an adventure park at the Esplanade, offering recreational outdoor activities.

“With this highly anticipated redevelopment, this beloved mall will get the elevation it truly deserves. We are redefining its look and feel, infusing it with a fresh and sophisticated profile that breathes new life into its corridors,” said Andrew Brien, executive director and CEO of Suria KLCC.

“This transformative endeavour will elevate Alamanda Shopping Centre to a vibrant community hub, solidifying its position as an iconic destination in Putrajaya,” he added.

The mall has a gross floor area of around 1.06 million square feet and a net lettable area of 638,952 square feet, with around 12 million shoppers annually.
