Around 1 in 2 Singaporeans intend to buy audio, video technology
Malaysia has the largest market share of content creators in the region.
A total of 49% of respondents from Singapore own and plan to purchase audio and video technology, lagging behind its neighbouring countries.
In a report, Logitech and Milieu Insight found that in terms of ownership of video and audio technology, Malaysia is leading at 65%, followed by the Philippines at 59%. Regarding purchase intent, it is highest in the Philippines at 79%, and Malaysia at 74%.
Malaysia also has the largest share of creators at 17%, followed by the Philippines at 13% and Singapore at 9%.

Around eight in 10 of the respondents from the three markets have also indicated they usually watch videos and livestreams.
“As the digital creative economy continues to boom, demand for audio and video technology will continue to trend upwards, ushering in an exciting period for independent content creators. Budding and veteran content creators are now raising the bar to stay ahead of the competition by ensuring they produce content with broadcast-quality sound, and professional grade video and lighting,” said Bernard Chow, Logitech’s head of cluster for Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
The survey involved 1,500 respondents each from Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines.
