Central Retail launches new bookstore concept

Now under Central Retail, the new store concept of B2S features a 'book cave'.

Central Retail Corporation (CRC) has launched a new bookstore concept called “B2S Think Space” at Central Chidlom department store in Bangkok, following its acquisition of stationery retailer COL for $404.86m (THB12.16b), according to a press release.

The flagship store in an area of over 1,000 sqm on the 6th floor of Central Chidlom features the book zone with the “BOOK CAVE” concept, the landmark cave storing more than 10,000 book items for customers to explore, as well as stationery and art tools.

Customers can also buy any of over 60,000 product items via an e-ordering system that delivers products directly from warehouses.

Central Retail expects B2S’ sales to grow 20%-30% in 2021, and is planning to turn its 130 branches in Bangkok and major cities into B2S Think Space, aiming to offer new experiences to customers, provide communities with learning centers and expand its customer base.
