Check out Asia's top homeware retailers in 2020

The award’s global honorees come from Australia, Japan and Thailand.

Australia’s Few and Far, Japan’s Isetan Shinjuku and Thailand’s Central Department Store were crowned the Global Honorees for Retail Excellence in International Housewares Association’s Global Innovation Awards (gia) in 2020, according to a press release.

“All of our national winners provide great examples of best-in-class housewares merchandising,” IHA president Derek Miller said.

The gia programme was created by IHA and The Inspired Home Show. It is structured on national and global level, evaluating retailers on overall mission statement, vision and strategy, store design and layout, visual merchandising, displays and window displays, marketing, advertising and promotions, customer service and staff training and innovation

The global jury consists of four retail or visual merchandising experts and seven editors and publishers of co-sponsoring housewares trade publications. They select Global Honorees from the winners previously chosen in their respective countries by national sponsors.
