J Shop opens first flagship store in southwest China
Around 400 brands and 2,000 products are carried in the shop.
The J Shop, an upgrade of JD’s fashion and lifestyle business, has launched its first flagship store in Chengdu, southwest China.
The store, which spans 1,000 square metres, offers around 400 brands, and 2,000 products across categories of cosmetics, apparel, lifestyle, sports, luxury fashion, and watches. The store also features immersive experiences.
“With JD’s core capabilities in digital supply chain and omnichannel, the J Shop can quickly complete new product launches and product circulation based on dynamic changes in consumer trends and product adjustments by brand merchants, leading to a stronger ability to meet consumers’ needs in new fashion and lifestyle purchases,” Terry Wang, general manager of JD Beauty, said.

The store will also feature one-hour delivery services, which will allow consumers to receive their orders within an hour. This will apply to those whose homes are within the 5-kilometre radius of the store.
The J Shop integrates JD’s capabilities in omni-channel retailing. It was completed through the cooperation of JD and the Chinese cosmetic brand Perfect Diary.
