Philippines’ Robinsons Retail names new COO

Stanley Co will assume the role starting on 1 August.

Robinsons Retail Holdings’ Board of Directors appointed Stanley Co, its former managing director of Supermarket Segment, as the new chief operating officer, effective 1 August.

In a disclosure, Robinsons Retail said  Co has been with the company for more than 20 years holding various roles and has experience across operation, strategic, planning, marketing, merchandising, and omnichannel retailing.

As the managing director of the Supermarket Segment, Co led its expansion in underpenetrated areas and omnichannel retailing during the pandemic with more than 300 stores.

The segment is composed of the Robinsons Supermarket, The Marketplace, Robinsons Easymart, and Shopwise.

Co has also previously led the DIY Segment which included Handyman and True Value and franchises Daiso Japan and Pet Lovers Centre for 12 years, Robinsons Retail said.
