Carousell co-founder Lucas Ngoo to exit the e-commerce company

Ngoo said he wants to explore other industries such as AI in healthcare, amongst others.

Online marketplace Carousell co-founder Lucas Ngoo has stepped down from his management role, effective by the end of February 2024, but he will still serve as a co-founder and board director, as well as company advisor.

Ngoo has been involved with Carousell for 11 and a half years, establishing the company with Siu Rui Quek and Marcus Tan in May 2012.

He also served as chief technology officer of the company until September 2019.

In a LinkedIn post, Ngoo cited personal reasons for his exit, mainly to explore other industries, such as AI in biotech and healthcare, climate technology, energy transition, and web3.
