Lazada CEO appointed as Daraz’s acting CEO

James Dong succeed Daraz founder Bjarke Mikkelsen in the role.

Lazada Group CEO James Dong has been named as acting CEO of the online shopping company Daraz Group, effective 24 January.

Dong will succeed Bjarke Mikkelsen, adding to his existing responsibilities under Lazada.

Mikkelsen founded Daraz, a sister company of e-commerce giant Lazada, in 2015 and spearheaded its growth from a single-market retailer to a cross-border marketplace in five South Asian countries. The platform also offers a cost-efficient logistics infrastructure and payment solutions for small and medium enterprises.
