Shopline adds Instagram Live to smart commerce platform
In Singapore, over 40% of Shopline merchants adopted social commerce.
Smart commerce Shopline has integrated Instagram Live to its platform, allowing merchants to sell their products through this feature.
Shopline said in a press release the new feature includes setting of custom keywords to trigger orders via its admin system, sending of automatic checkout links after customers leave keyword comments on Instagram Live, and setting up of Live games via Shopline’s admin system.
The addition of the Instagram Live feature provides an opportunity for merchants to connect with their customers, noting that there are around one billion monthly active users on Instagram, and 83% of consumers were discovering new products in the social media platform.
“With the addition of Instagram LIVE as part of our Social Commerce offering, this is another significant step in helping merchants expand their consumer touchpoints, and ultimately grow sales,” Shopline Co-founder and COO Fiona Lau said. Shopline in 2020 has also integrated its livestream tool with Facebook.
It added that its social commerce offering has helped merchants host over 60,000 livestream events and garnered 60 million comments during livestream events in 2021.
Shopline also said that in Singapore, over 40% of the Shopline merchants have adopted social commerce as their main sales channel, with top merchants earning up to S$300,000 per live stream.
