Authentic Brands to bring Boardriders business to Japan and Taiwan

Several known brands under Boardriders include Quiksilver, Billabong, Roxy and Element.

American brand management company Authentic Brands Group (ABG) has struck a partnership with BRJ Group for the expansion of the Boardriders business in the Japan and Taiwan markets.

Among those under the Boardriders brand are Quiksilver, Billabong, Roxy, RVCA, DC Shoes, Element, and Von Zipper. 

With cooperation from SMBC Capital Partners, BRJ Group will be managed by an established team of Boardriders in Japan and Taiwan. Through the partnership, the teams will take charge in the development, production, and distribution of the brands’ full portfolio and robust network within the territories.

“BRJ’s deep understanding of the local Japanese and Taiwanese cultures, coupled with the management team’s proven track record in brand development and distribution for these iconic brands, aligns seamlessly with our expansion strategy,” Wesley Chu, EVP of Authentic APAC, said.

Authentic’s expansion in Japan and Taiwan marks one of the company’s strategies for global brand expansion and innovation as a major player in the lifestyle and action sports culture.
