Balmain ventures into beauty with fragrance line
It will feature an eight all-gender eaux de parfum.
French luxury fashion house Balmain has officially entered the beauty industry with the launch of its first collection, "Les Éternels de Balmain," featuring eight all-gender eaux de parfum.
This new line reflects the brand’s Parisian heritage, influenced by founder Pierre Balmain and modernised by Creative Director Olivier Rousteing.
Rousteing, who oversaw the entire creation process, aims to blend Balmain’s legacy with a contemporary, inclusive approach to luxury.
The collection includes four revamped classic scents, inlcuding Vent Vert, Ivoire, Ébène, and Carbone, along with four new fragrances, namely Sel d’Ambre, Rouge, Bronze, and Bleu Infini.
“Balmain Beauty is forging a new, avant-garde space in luxury beauty that celebrates the legacy and inclusive spirit of the iconic house of Balmain,” said Guillaume Jesel, who oversees Balmain Beauty as the President and CEO, TOM FORD and Luxury Business Development, The Estée Lauder Companies.
Matteo Sgarbossa, CEO of Balmain, also highlighted the brand's ambitious plans for future luxury growth. "JJust like Olivier Rousteing’s most impressive runways, Balmain’s ambitious plans for future luxury growth build directly upon a skilled melding together of the richness of our singular heritage with a distinctively modern outlook," he said.
"With this partnership, the house begins a new chapter, making very clear to all our commitment to maximizing cross-category possibilities as we move forward,” he added.
