L'OCCITANE Group appoints Laurent Marteau as new Group CEO
He will succeed André J. Hoffmann who served as acting CEO and Vice Chairman.
France-based luxury beauty retailer L'OCCITANE Group has appointed Laurent Marteau as the Group CEO, combining the role of CEO and Group Managing Director, effective 1 April 2024.
Marteau will succeed André J. Hoffmann, acting CEO, who stepped down from his position but will remain an executive director and member of the board.
The change in leadership structure signifies the company’s transition into a "geographically balanced, multi-brand group."
Marteau has over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry. He held positions in LVMH Group in different senior management roles for 15 years. Before he joined the L'OCCITANE Group, he became Vice President for Global Travel Retail & Special Channels and part of the Board of Directors for the La Prairie Group in 2014. He also became VP for Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Africa in 2020.
He joined L'OCCITANE as Group Managing Director in 2022.
