Mars Wrigley appoints Sean Jeong as general manager of West Asia

He will oversee key West Asian markets such as Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia.

Mars Wrigley, a division of Mars Incorporated and a leader in treats and snacks, has appointed Sean Jeong as the new general manager for West Asia. He takes over from Ursula Irwin, who is returning to New Zealand for personal reasons.

Jeong will oversee key markets in West Asia including Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia in his new role, focusing on driving growth and innovation in the snacking sector.

“I am excited for the opportunity to lead this dynamic region and to partner with an energised team that lives our purpose in inspiring moments of everyday happiness,” he said.

“I truly look forward to growing the business together with our associates and partners as we continue our legacy to bring our iconic and culturally relevant brands to consumers, and make a positive impact to communities,” he added.

Jeong has been with Mars since 2016 as the chief financial officer for Mars Korea. His career also includes nine years at Procter & Gamble across Singapore, Japan, and Korea before joining Mars. In 2017, he led the integration of Mars Wrigley and later became General Manager of Mars Korea, achieving significant market share gains in chocolate and mint categories.
