Thai restaurant tops Asia’s 50 Best Restaurant

A total of nine restaurants from Bangkok made it to the list.

Bangkok-based restaurant Le Du has been named the Best Restaurant in Asia, according to Asia’s Best Restaurants 2023.

Le Du, led by chef Thitid “Ton” Tassanakajohn, offers a “modern take on refined Thai food interpreted through a French-leaning lens.”

Also making it to the Top five were Sézanne (Tokyo), Nusara (Bangkok), Den (Tokyo), and Gaggan Anand (Bangkok).

Bangkok and Singapore were represented by nine restaurants each on the list, whilst Tokyo claimed seven spots in the Top 50.

Other restaurants awarded were from Shanghai, Macau, Beijing, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Manila, Osaka, Wakayama, Kyoto, Ho Chi Minh, and Taipei.
